The Story of Our Practice
Our practice began in Bangor, Maine in 2007 and has been continuously serving clients ever since. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted resource for individuals and families seeking compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.
Selby Psychological Services, PLLC is led by Brian W. Selby, Ph.D., and Christine L. B. Selby, Ph.D., licensed psychologists with more than 20 years of experience treating a wide range of mental health challenges.
Dr. Brian Selby provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, and young adults, while Dr. Christine Selby offers psychodynamic therapy for adults. Together, they are committed to creating a warm, collaborative space where clients can better understand themselves, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

Dr. Brian Selby specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, and young adults. With focus on managing anxiety and developmental wellness, he integrates evidence-based techniques to help young individuals build lasting resilience.
Dr. Christine L. B. Selby, Ph.D.
Dr. Christine Selby provides psychodynamic therapy for adults, specializing in eating disorders and diverse mental health needs. With a warm approach, she fosters insightful exploration and healing. She also supports the clinical team at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Center for Counseling and Psychological Health.
